The Professional and Social Services Association is a non-profit making organization incorporated in Hong Kong under the Companies Ordinance (Chapter 88).It was formed by a group of Hong Kong passionate professionals dedicated to devote themselves to the well being of underprivileged people of society.PASS continuously works with other local and international organizations in managing various events and programs in training and education.We believe, by these educational activities can help the long-term development of Hong Kong especially for the underprivileged group.
PASS has been committed to promote, facilitate and participate in improving the quality of life for the disadvantaged in society and currently focusing primarily on 'Youth Employment Training and Counseling program' and 'the Caring for Aged program', to enhance their social and economic status, and to strengthen their employability and competitiveness. We hope that there would have been more and more people know our efforts and join us. If you would like to live in a more equal and harmonious society in the future, please make your efforts together with us for this objective.

In September 2008, the financial tsunami swept the world. As an international financial center, Hong Kong was of course not spared in the tsunami. With the impact of the financial tsunami, many employees have faced the pressure of layoffs, pay cuts or taking no-pay leave. On the other hand, employers have faced difficult situations on their businesses. In the haze of the financial tsunami, Hong Kong is full of negative emotions.This kind of negative emotions is not conducive to the social harmony and progress in terms of the macroscopic view; whereas microscopically speaking is harmful to the health of the public.
As a result, Professional and Social Services Association was established in January 2009, helping people in need in terms of providing methods of alleviating anxiety and pressure, strengthening their knowledge and skills in employment, vocational re-training and placement referrals, etc. in order to assist the recipients facing the future with a positive attitude. In the long run, it adds vitality and power to the sustainable development of Hong Kong.
Despite our services in Hong Kong, we are equally concerned about the needs of our compatriots in the motherland. In the Sichuan post-earthquake reconstruction project, one of the highlights is the spiritual recovery work, in particular the healthy growth of the spiritual aspect of school children. The association will arrange medical personnel to post-quake areas in Sichuan to communicate with local health care units. Trainings on post-disaster counseling skills will also be given to teachers in the affected areas to help post-disaster children a healthy mental development. Professional and Social Services Association is a non-profit making organization. With the spirit of "helping people to help themselves," we provide trainings of all aspects, including vocational, stress-relief through sensations, self-motivational and family harmony related trainings and workshops. In addition, we offer courses on computer applications and practical language training to those in need in the society in order to help them improve their competitiveness in employment as well as the quality of life.
This year the focus of our training is on teaching office workers releasing stress as well as achieving a positive and optimistic attitude towards life through doing Tai Chi in office.
